The Peaches that Fell

The Peaches that Fell

Chapter 5

     The Story The Authors
Elizabeth opened the notecard and then remembered a conversation that took place several nights before. Elizabeth had rejected the idea of marrying Tom when he had proposed. Tom did not take the rejection lightly & a hot discussion took place. After all Tom had been devoted to Elizabeth and he did not understand why the feelings were not mutual. Elizabeth just said the chemestry was not there. Tom left in a rage thoroughly insulted. Elizabeth felt closed up and had to get out of her small apartment. She called a number of her friends but they were either busy or gone for the weekend. Elizabeth needed a friend. She was alone and wandering aimlessly in the city. She walked past a coffee house with pane glass windows. She could see the warmth of the paneled interior & a warm fireplace. The warmth drew her inside where she found seating around the circular fireplace. It was cold outside & she had gotten a chill. Elizabeth ordered an Irish wiskey and the warm glow seemed to take the edge off the emotional scene with Tom. Soon She had another and felt a relaxed heady feeling envelope her. That was when Jade sat next to her & Elizabeth began to talk about the argument with Tom. Jade seemed to understand & Elizabeth felt comfortable about her new friend. Elizabeth suggested the two of them go to a dance somewhere and Jade mentioned a dance in the next room. The two of them stood up with Elizabeth holding on to Jade for support. Elizabeth found a strange attraction to Jade and she remembered that the two of them danced & danced but no one seemed to care because there were only other women dancing together soft & slow... A warm rush came over Elizabeth when she read the note & realized that she had been the one to suggest this rendezvous. It was she who had initiated this weekend. Janelle
What have I gotten myself into Elizabeth thought to herself. It seems that she had been hopping from one bed to another. In the last week there had been Jon, and that horny pilot Jay and Russel, how could she forget poor simpering Russel and the month before that Burt and the shrink, not to mention that awful scene with Tom. Perhaps it was time for her to clean up her act and try a period of celibacy. Maybe she should look into a convent after all. But here she was, this room reminded her of a nun's quarters. "Elizabeth, suppers almost ready" she heard Jade call from down the stairs. Descending the stairs she saw a table for two laid out before her. A mix of spring greens in a wooden bowl and a bottle of Chardoney were sitting upon it. "Hope you like artichokes" Jade called. She smiled and tears came to her eyes, artichokes were a favorite, but more than that here was someone who cared so much for her. She tiptoed into the kitchen to see what Jade had prepared. Jade turned and smiled and then quietly kissed her on the lips. trug
Elizabeth was actually holding back a forbidden lust that she had for women.she tried to cover it up by sleeping with every man that came her way, so people wouldn't wonder. But she realized she had to make a mense in her lifestyle. She said to Jade, I'm a lesbian, and whether you like it or not, that's who i am. And, i would like to know if you would be my first lover. Jade smiled and said,"i'd never thought you'd ask." Jawge Jason
They didn't do much talking as they cleared away the dinner dishes. Mostly they just looked at each other and grinned. Inside Elizabeth's heart was dancing at the thought of what was to come that night. She was a bit apprehensive, never having been with a woman before. Would she know what to do she wondered to herself. Jade asked if she would like to go for a walk and see the place. Elizabeth was actually thinking she would like to go straight into Jade's bedroom, but thought better of vocalizing that idea. They put light jackets on and Jade led her into the garden where baby lettuces and basil, dill and chives were just a hand high this spring. "Over there's the barn, I've got a couple of dairy goats and a dozen chooks, no rooster, thank the goddess," Jade told her. "The goats are about to kid", Jade added," We won't have to milk for quite a while," she hesitated, "that is we, assuming you want to stay." Elizabeth felt awkward, "The place is lovely, and yes I'd like to stay for a while, anyway" They tromped through the barn and gave a bit of hay to Elsie and Goldie. Jade wanted to check the fences in the rear pasture so they headed down the hill towards the creek. After a minor repair, they settled on a big boulder on the side of the rippling brook. Elizabeth asked, "Do you work, besides around this place?" Jade smiled, "Yes, unfortunately I do have another 10 years before I can retire, I teach English to adults." Elizabeth replied, "That's great, I've always wanted to be a teacher. For the last couple of years I've been repairing small airplane engines, but I'm out of that now. Haven't quite figured what I want to do now." After a bit of chat they headed back to the house, halfway up the hill Jade took Elizabeth's hand and said, "Glad you have come." When they got back to the house Jade disappeared into the bath for a quick shower. Elizabeth was curious, would they spend the night in Jade's bed? Was it bigger than the narrow one in her room? Peeking into Jade's room she found a fluffy queen size. On the night table lay a thick black tome, "Staff Manual Literary Police Department." mookie
She scanned through the book, then put it down as Jade opened the bathroom door and emerged naked. Travis Easton
Elizabeth stared with wide open eyes. She became transfixed with the beautiful breasts of Jade. Jade slowly walked to the bed and laid down beside her. Elizabeth struggled getting her shirt off but Jade was there to lend a helping hand. Soon her brassiere and panties were lying in a pile on the floor. George Castanza
Then.. all of a sudden... a giant, hairy beast burst through the doors. It ate Elizabeth and Jade and they both died. none
The giant hairy beast crushed the city. Everybody was screaming HEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEELLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPP! Megan
Far off in the distance there appeared what looked like a dust storm. As it approached one could make out a lone heroic figure. Legs pumping, chest heaving with effort the runner came on... The dry dust flew out behind him, his speed quickly closed in the gap. It was Russell. All those days of rugby practice were paying off. The hairy beast turned. Trish
He turned again seems he don't know whitch way to go, maybe the dust, maybe the heat I hope he can get back to his feet, the poor guy is under some sort exhaustion from all the physical work and running. He finds himseft and starts back on his long journey with hope in his eyes and spring in his step. Larry R
But his steps did not take him far. He hardly noticed that he was walking down a steep hill. A small pebble rolled along beside him as he tripped and rolled down the ever-steepening mountain. But this pain was not all that he could bear. Not yet. Lindsey
He started thinking, "What am I doing here? Is this the end of the earth? What has my life so far accomplished?" The answers to these questions floated around in his mind- a mind previously filled with all the vile lines and canned laughter from television sitcoms. To such a mind, unaccustomed to thought, as it were, it was difficult to think. The sitcoms reverberated around and he was in their spell. It was a monstrous spell but also something he could never remove from his brain. The pain was them, they were the pain. He did not know what they were or how to get them out of there but he knew he would suffer the pain till he found out the answers and he could not find out the answers because of the pain. Pain

So he craked open the earth with his huge hands that had growen monsterous and long and twisted like swrilling snakes for hands and he knew that inside of this is where the answer would lay. none
And sure enough, like a fortune cookie he saw a scrap of paper inside. His heart beating with exitement he carefully extracted the paper and smoothed it out to read the markings inscribed thereon. To his dismay it seemed to be written in some strange tongue. Then his thoughts turned to the Wizzard, surely he would know the meaning of the markings. none
At last Russell felt a steadfast purpose. After all this time of maddness and fear about his sanity, after all these episodes of psychopathy, at last he felt free. He would go to the Wizard and dicover the meaning of life. Surely the scrap of paper in his hand held that secret! The script was both square and soft in shape. The characters both bold and plain and suggestive and beautiful. They brought him hope. Trish
He knew it would be a long hard journey. It had been centuries since someone had last dared to go seek audience with the Wizzard. Legends abounded of the difficult and dangerous journey ahead of those who dared go. He thought briefly of the dark forests and enchated glades that others foretold in the legends, about the evil trolls and seductive sirens that attempted to lure the tired and weary traveler away. Resolutely he folded the paper with its mysterious inscription and placed it into the amulet he always wore about his neck. Picking up a stout walking stick he purposefully strode to the west, toward Ackbar Mountain, home of the Wizzard. dennis
He looked meaningful at Ackbar Mountain where the wizard had live since the beginning of tme. His amulet began to glow and the inscription was now like new. The mysterious inscription began to make sense. It began to snow and the wind howled. Maria
His amulet was a map around all the mountains to get to Ackbar Mountain. He will finally learn magic from the wizard. Amy
He will learn magic and the meaning of life from the wizard. Finally, he found the wizard's cave. the wizard was there. He looked like he was about to die. I ran over to him shouting,"Oh! Wizard how can I help you? You have enough power and wisdom to stop yourself from death. Why don't make yourself not die?" "I don't want to deel with this pain anymore. I have been waiting for someone to come and take my place. You will inherit my wisdom and knowledge over time. You will take my place. It took me a long time to be so wise and smart. But now I know everything. If I don't learn something new every day, I will start to fade away and die," the wizard said weekly. Then, before my very eyes, the wizard faded away. In his place was a very fat book-it had about a million pages if not more. I opened up the book and started to read. On the second page was a picture of the most beautiful place. The picture had a caption that read- The World of Imagination - I fell in the picture. It was the best place in the world. Amy
The ground was made of cotton candy. I stooped and ate some. Everything I had ever imagined was in this place. Off to the sides was a purple horse who ran over to chat with me. I wanted to know who the wizard was. Before I could find out, a large dinosaur grabbed me in his mouth and ran away with me. I became unconcious, but when I woke up I was amazed! none
There was a monkey with a yellow egg quickly sipping orange tea. Boochie
as he finished and got up the egg splashed away! lia
then out came a chick from the tea and bit his nose!!! bhakti

Again Russell said, "Adfaf!" but more loudly. The little elf had cotton candy in his ears and could hear nothing. "Adfaf!!" shouted Russell. The little fellow looked up. "Eh?" "I have been trying to get your attention... This world is a sorry place and I think you can get me out of it. Can you?" Russell shouted. Adfaf was surprised because he had thought the picture perfect world he was in was all anyone could want. "Whatever can you mean?" he asked. "Why," said Russell, "Without any evil to compare the good too, how can one realize just how good things are?" Trish
Adfaf took the cotton candy out of his ears. "Oh, dear! Oh, dear!" he mumbled. He began turning the bright amulet over and over in his hands. "You don't seem to understand, Russell! This is the world of Imagination! There are plenty of terrible and horrible things here. Even children know it is not a purely wonderful world." Trish
Russell wasn't listening. He was preoccupied with the large building which was rising out of the ground. Adfaf and Russell quickly ran out of the way; the castle kept rising and pushing the expelling hot fumes from deep below it. Suddenly the castle stopped and several children looked out one of the castle windows. They were scared and hungry. As Russell and Adfaf marvelled at the structure, the children pelted them with diamonds. Unfortunately, the diamonds disintegrated upon touching the two. Russell and Adfaf approached the castle. Blarney
From the castle's towers, three banners hung. One had the image of a lion, the other had a pattern of diamonds,...but the third...upon the third was written, "Beetlebum". none
And the bumtickler rose from the dark fog, and in a wash of anger and pain, the mighty bumtickler shouted "Herman, I am your Father". And the cround of anxious onlookers stood in awe as the bumtickler ferociously proclaimed the Mighty Herman free, free at last. The third banner fell into the heap that was Mighty Herman and for the coming weeks, no one would approach that fallen banner. Then, with a wash of fury and angst, the bumtickler spoke and proclaimed: el jefe
"Beetlebum, Beetlebum, what have you done....she's a gone, now what have you done....you Beetlebum!" And with that being said, Mighty Herman rose with a shout of, "Wooooooo-hooooooooo!" Damon
Russell looked around. He knew he was home at last.
